The views of Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala Rock are a real highlight, especially first thing in the morning. It’s a calm, well-kept property with a lovely setting close to nature, and we had a pleasant stay. A few things could be more convenient. The Wi-Fi could be stronger, and card payments would be useful. There’s no backup power, so during an outage even the Wi-Fi goes down, which is noticeable if you’re in your room all day. Complimentary drinking water, even 1-2 bottles per room, would also be a nice touch. Still, it’s a lovely place with a hard-to-beat view, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

The location and scenery were hard to beat. We could see the lions rock from bed, with rice fields below, and there were peacocks, other birds, cats, and dogs around. The animals made some noise at night, but it didn’t bother us. There were lots of mosquitoes, so come prepared. Our room was nice and had what we needed. The friendly people running the place helped book a safari and a taxi for our next stop. Breakfast was available for 5 dollars. It’s walking distance to the lions rock and town. We had a great time and highly recommend it.

Looking out at lion rock across the rice field while having breakfast was such a cool part of our stay, and the food was amazing. The family who runs the place, mother, father, and son, greeted us as “family” as soon as we arrived and helped us plan the whole trip. Mihir drove us in their super cool Porsche tuk tuk and showed us nature and sights along the way. Thank you!!!

The hosts were really friendly and helpful, and they offer excursions. Breakfast had a nice variety. We slept well, though the sheets didn’t fit the bed, and the rice field view was good. Some small tables for luggage would be useful, since ours had to stay on the floor. We were disappointed they didn’t provide water, as other places do.

The Sigiriya view outside was great, and the staff were all friendly. The rooms were clean, and I slept well under the bed net, which helped keep the bugs away. Being beside a rice field and surrounded by nature does mean mosquitoes and insects, though. They have their own van and offer different tours. Breakfast was just egg, bread, and spreads, but the juice was some of the best I’ve had. The property is tucked down a street that gets very dark at night on foot. A few steps outside the gate, though, gets you to the main road and quickly to a spa, coffee shop, convenience store, ATM, and lots of restaurants. I highly recommend it.
