Richmond House Colombo

The team made our stay a great experience, and the service was friendlier and better than at many five-star hotels I’ve stayed in. Thanks so much to everyone. One of the best hotels in Sri Lanka, and we’ll definitely be back.

We felt like close family here. The hosts were humble, polite, and quick to help with anything we needed, while the room service staff were professional and ready to answer our questions. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was very good, and the pantry was available most of the time. It’s in a convenient part of Colombo, near malls and shops, and we’d love to stay here again on our next visit.

We stayed in the presidential suite, which was huge and felt majestic, with two single beds, a king-size bed, and plenty of room for a sofa and TV. The jacuzzi was the highlight. The breakfast was basic but freshly made, and they use fine cutlery. This is a hidden gem of Colombo if you enjoy colonial houses, high ceilings, and solid wood furniture. I only wish the TV were a little bigger.

The buffet breakfast was a decent spread, including fresh fruit, and the staff were helpful. Rooms are spacious, the beds very comfortable, and the bathrooms well appointed. The plugs are round three-pin, so you may need an adaptor. Wi-Fi was weak in our rooms, and we couldn’t connect.
