Ravan Tangalle

We really enjoyed staying here. The manager was professional and very supportive, and the polite staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent, and the pool was kept in good shape. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with the beach conveniently close by.

I booked Ravan Hotel for two nights so I could work remotely, but I stayed for six. The hosts were the most helpful I've come across during my time in Sri Lanka. They made sure the WiFi worked reliably, which mattered a lot on workdays. The manager, Kevin, was always available and quick to help arrange whatever we needed. The beachfront setting and nice pool made it easy to mix work with some downtime. Café Breeze is just a 30 second walk away, with good coffee and a solid lunch menu that worked well for a break or a work session. For the price and location, it's exceptional value. I'd highly recommend Ravan Hotel to digital nomads looking for somewhere comfortable, reliable and well managed.

Kevin and his team made us feel like welcomed visitors rather than customers, and that warmth is what stayed with me. Kevin takes a personal interest in making sure guests are comfortable, whether that means arranging local experiences, giving recommendations, sorting transport, handling special requests or checking that everything is in order. He's approachable, attentive and happy to help with even small things. The rest of the staff were courteous, friendly and keen to assist too. Ravan Tangalle is a comfortable, charming property with spacious, clean and well-kept rooms. It's close to Tangalle town, the beach, restaurants, cafés and other conveniences, but the atmosphere is still peaceful and relaxed. There's a swimming pool for unwinding after a day exploring the southern coast. Breakfast was enjoyable, the common areas were maintained well, and the stay felt like good value for money. My time here was one of the highlights of Sri Lanka. The hospitality felt sincere, and the property made a great base for seeing Tangalle and the surrounding attractions. I'd happily stay at Ravan Tangalle again on my next visit.

We stayed in one of the four cozy, spacious and clean cabanas near the pool, and everything was perfect. The setting is calm and quiet, within walking distance of the beautiful beach and Tangalle fishing harbour. The food was excellent, and you can customize it too. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to owner Mr Indika, and we really enjoyed Manager Kevin's company. He wanted to make sure “everything is perfect” and arranged a kayaking session for us at the beautiful Tangalle lagoon, about 5 km from the hotel. We had a great time out on the water. Our experience at Ravan Resort Tangalle was simply amazing, and we want to come back again and again.
