White Villa

Those 12 days were some of the most peaceful holidays I've had. The hosts live next door and brought us delicious breakfasts with fresh juice and fruit each morning. They could also make lunch or dinner when asked, and helped with transport in their own tuk-tuk and recommendations for places to visit. I haven't experienced hospitality like theirs before. The garden's thick greenery gave the villa real privacy. From the terrace we watched birds and other Sri Lankan wildlife, heard birdsong in the morning and peacocks during the day, then squirrels crossing the roof and geckos in the evening. It felt like magic. There are three beaches within walking distance, but we could also just relax on the comfortable sunbeds by the private pool. It was lit at night, so swimming while listening to the nearby jungle was lovely. Tangalle city is just a 6-minute tuk-tuk ride away. Inside, we had everything we needed: air conditioning, hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, and terrace fans that made sitting outside pleasant. There weren't many insects. The beautiful setting and wonderful hosts made this a special stay.

The owner's kindness made me feel at home from my first day, not like a guest. I stayed at White Villa for almost two weeks, felt safe and well cared for, and found the peaceful atmosphere just right for slowing down in Tangalle. The house is lovely, comfortable, and equipped with everything needed for a longer stay. I'm grateful for the hospitality and would gladly come back. It's one of the best places to stay in the area.

We only managed two nights because our itinerary was tight, and now wish we'd stayed longer. My mum actually cried when we left. The villa was spotless, beautiful, and had a magical garden and all the amenities we needed. The family who owns it were so friendly and made us feel at home. And the food deserves its own review: five stars and a chef's kiss! ❤️ Thank you!

The villa is wonderfully comfortable and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay, but what really made it special was the hosts' care and dedication. Upul and his family were the kindest, most considerate and generous people I met during my month-long holiday in Sri Lanka. It felt like a home away from home, and by far this was the best accommodation I've ever had. I look forward to coming back.
