The food was the best we’ve had so far, really authentic Sri Lankan cooking. The hosts were an amazing, super friendly family, with great tips for the area. They’re very close to the National Park and organised a tour for us. Our guide Janith was so helpful. I’d highly recommend this place!

I was travelling from the south toward Ella and chose to stop here. The place is beautiful and local, and the family was friendly. I had dinner and breakfast there, both really nice. People have said you must book a safari to stay, but that wasn't my experience. The landlord asked once, I said I wasn't interested, and everything was fine. It's a lovely place and doesn't deserve the comments from some weird people!

The cottage was peaceful, surrounded by nature, and our room was large and clean. We loved the meals there, everything we tried was incredibly tasty. The hosts welcomed us with big smiles and arranged a full-day safari for us, with breakfast included. Such a lovely stay.

Our safari with Namal was a highlight of the trip. He was patient, kind, and full of information about the animals, and he gave the elephants space to come toward us on their own. He also avoided the busier roads so we could enjoy the quiet. We were lucky to see lots of elephants and many other animals. The cottage itself was surrounded by beautiful nature, with a really spacious room and delicious food. We only had one night there, so just one dinner.

The cottage was so peaceful and clean, and we loved the homemade food. The family were incredibly kind, and the earthy little homes made this one of our most memorable stays in Sri Lanka. We’ll definitely come back.
