Hotel Sun Blue

This isn’t a fancy hotel, but the beds were among the most comfortable we had during our month in Sri Lanka. The AC worked great, and so did the hot shower. The family running the place were lovely, kind, and accommodating. They even let us check in early when we arrived and check out late when we left. Wonderful service. The location was perfect, just a two minute scooter ride from the beach. Thank you!

We were five solo backpackers and booked the family room. It worked perfectly as a dorm and was much better than the other dorm options nearby. The beach is close, and everyone working there was super lovely and helpful. Breakfast is available on request. One evening they even made us rice and curry for dinner, plus pineapple fritters.

The location is awful, and the staircase is covered in dust. There were stains on the bedsheet, and only one staff member was there. I don’t recommend it.

We loved Trincomalee so much that we extended our stay at this family run hotel. It was very clean and in a perfect location. Jensy was lovely and went above and beyond, even coming into town with me to help find a sarong. The dinner she cooked was delicious, and her little boy is the cutest. I’d definitely recommend it.
