We celebrated our third wedding anniversary in Trinco and chose Sellamah beach hotel. The room was excellent, with a lovely beach view close by. We’d definitely recommend it.

The room was the highlight: huge, with working AC and an amazing sea view. Sellamah is also a nice spot if you want to get away from the busy north part of Trincomelee. The place felt a little like a ghost town, almost just a wedding venue. There’s no food service, which was fine for us, but we had to ask for towels and bedding after getting to the room.

The room had a really nice view, and more or less we had the beach to ourselves. But there’s only one restaurant around and not much else to do. When we arrived, there were no towels, and we later noticed there weren’t any bedsheets either. Cleanliness was average. We’d expected breakfast according to booking, but they didn’t offer it at all.

The room at the neighboring hotel didn’t look like the photos, so I asked at Sellamah Beach Hotel instead. Once I saw the balcony and beach view, I booked straight away. The room was a good size for the price, and I especially liked the new Samsung TV, comfortable beds, and nice bathroom. The view is incredible, and the service was hard to beat. I recommend Sellamah Beach Hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sellamah Beach Hotel in Trincomalee. Its position right on the shore, with blue water and the sound of the waves, makes it easy to switch off. Koneswaram Temple and Fort Frederick are nearby too, so it’s convenient to explore the area’s history and culture. The hotel has lots to do, from lounging on the private beach to snorkeling, diving around the coral reefs, and doing yoga by the water. They also arrange tours to nearby attractions that are both informative and fun. Our room was spacious, clean, and furnished with comfort in mind, including a comfortable bed, good linens, and a balcony overlooking the ocean. The sunrise over the Indian Ocean was especially beautiful. Staff were friendly and attentive, and happy to help with excursions, special food requests, or a chat. We enjoyed the restaurant’s local and international choices, especially the fresh seafood sourced from the waters in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options, and the ingredients were fresh and good quality. For me, Sellamah Beach Hotel offers comfort, warm hospitality, and a beautiful setting for experiencing Sri Lanka. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it.
