The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location has real potential. Our room was spacious with a beautiful beach view, the fans worked very well, and the rate was reasonable. I didn't even need the AC. The room condition needs attention, though. The curtains wouldn't stay closed and kept falling, and the door wouldn't lock. Many of the room doors seem to need repairs or replacement, along with several other small maintenance jobs. The stated star rating doesn't seem realistic for the rooms as they are now, and a renovation would help bring the property up to standard. I'd recommend it if the room problems get fixed.

We stayed one night in April 2026. In the morning the water system broke down, which we understand can happen, but staff should have been upfront about when it would be fixed. They kept telling us “5 minutes,” and we ended up losing almost three hours. The AC never worked properly, even after we called someone to fix it. In a hot country, working AC is essential. The WiFi was out too, even though they gave us a router.

We had booked rooms for more than 35 people. We only got them after 3.30, though they charged around 12noon when we checked in. There were no towels, and when we asked for a water bottle, we were told reception was closed. Really poor management and poor service from the hotel team.

I wasn't happy at all. To me, this was a complete fraud, and I don't see how this can be called a four star hotel. Tourism Board of Sri Lanka should pay attention to places charging such high prices for the facilities they provide. My single room door was difficult to lock. During my two nights, I was given only one small towel. The little shampoo and body wash containers had no labels or expiry dates, and both the bed linen and towel had brown stains. Maintenance was minimal. The shared ladies' toilet had a water leak, and the pool water looked like it never gets changed, so I didn't risk swimming. There were security guards by the gate, but nobody to help with bags, and it was hard to find the hotel lobby. The elevators and escalators weren't operating. There were plenty of other downsides too. Be careful with your money and vacation: despite claiming four stars, to me it didn't even look like a two star hotel.
