It's so quiet here, with no road nearby, and the ocean is what you hear as you fall asleep and wake up. We ended up staying four weeks with my girlfriend, and the dreamlike coast made the time fly. From the garden you can reach the private beach by the house and BlowHole, or go to Kudawela beach on the other side. The harbor is close, and you can buy ice and cold drinks next door. Chandi and his friendly family even invited us to dinner. Such a great experience, we'll definitely come again.

We arrived for our booking at Blow Hole view homestay and found it abandoned and closed. After several failed tries to reach the owner, he finally answered and said he had a place in Tangalle instead. He offered what he called a good price and said a tuk-tuk driver would take us there for 500 rupees, but the driver then asked for 1000. We called the manager, who argued and shouted at us. It was upsetting and very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Be careful.
