Silaa Cabana

I turned up in Trincomalee without plans or a booking, and came across this place while walking around. The cabanas were really comfortable, and both the owner and Vani, who works there, were so kind and helpful. Vani is a truly good-hearted person. It’s easy to get to the beach, restaurants, and main spots from here. They can do laundry, and you can order breakfast or use the kitchen and fridge to make your own. You can also rent a scooter or push bike right beside the cabana. I’d definitely suggest renting a scooter for the day to see the beaches beyond Uppuveli. For a very fair price, this is one of the most comfortable and beautiful cabanas compared with others I’ve seen. I highly recommend it for solo travelers and couples.

I stayed a week to relax 😌 The room was the right size, with a private bathroom, kettle and glasses at last, plus drinking water and working Wifi. The balcony was lovely, and the shared open kitchen with a few tables felt cozy for eating some fruit. Having a fridge was really handy too. It’s a 3mins walk to the beach and restaurants, but far enough away from the party music.

Silaa Cabanas was a great place for us. Neville, the owner, was friendly, professional, and always happy to help, and all the staff were lovely. Our room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had hot water. It’s an easy walk to the beach and close to local food restaurants. I’d definitely recommend staying here for a quiet, pleasant visit to Trincomalee.
