Baby Elephant Green House

The owners were so warm and nice, and the man even gave us a quick look at his coconut-oil factory, which is his second business. He helped arrange a taxi to Ella as well. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and were able to go on safari. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and had very quiet air conditioning. We'd recommend staying here.

We spent a couple of nights at Baby elephant greenhouse with friends and loved it. The owners were really welcoming and kind. They sorted out a nice safari, made delicious meals, and helped arrange transport to our next stop. Our room was in great shape and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I'd definitely come back to this lovely place run by lovely people.

They were ready with takeaway breakfast every time we had an early 05:00 start, all three mornings. Breakfast and dinner were freshly made, delicious, and carefully served. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and the kind hosts made sure we got a traditional welcome to Sri Lanka. They're also coconut processors, and we got to see the whole coconut-oil process, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our spacious room was spotless and smelled fresh, with plush towels, strong WIFI, hot water, and air conditioning. The green balcony gave us a secluded rainforest feel right outside the door. For the money, it was incomparable with our other stays. This family will make sure you have a wonderful stay in the country. Look no further!

The host family really made this stay memorable. They were incredibly helpful, arranged transport from Colombo, and set up the safari park tour, which you shouldn't miss. We ate there both nights and loved the food, and cold beer was available on request after a day out exploring. The guest house is a five-minute walk from the elephant transit home. Our lovely room had a large outdoor terrace for catching the breeze and wonderfully comfortable beds. We checked out some other places nearby and felt sure we'd picked the best in Uda Walawe. Strongly recommend.
