Jetwing Ratnam Residence

Set along a side road in a quieter part of town, the hotel was peaceful at night, and only a short tuk tuk ride from the centre and train station. There’s also a 24/7 supermarket and bakery about a five-minute walk away. Inside, the high ceilings, big windows, plants, open spaces and tasteful decor make a lovely impression. Our room had a large, comfortable bed, wardrobe and air conditioning. The bathroom shower was lovely, and the toiletries, towels and bedding were all good quality. There wasn’t a kettle in the room, but Bosco brought hot water when I asked. We stayed for two nights.

Bosco, the on-site manager, was very helpful and gave excellent service. We found the place quiet but central, and it felt like a hidden gem. The garden and lounge are lovely, and our room was inviting, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka, including several high-end properties, this was the cleanest. Highly recommend!

The hosts were kind and always available whenever we needed help. We spent three days here with a friend while visiting Colombo. The palace has gorgeous design, and getting into the city was easy with just a short tuktuk ride. It’s a MUST stay for Colombo visitors, especially at such a good price.

The room, designed by Bawa, was stylish, practical and really comfortable, and everything was carefully maintained. When we arrived in the evening, the staff welcomed us with tea, explained the room facilities in detail and looked after us very well. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return.
