The building itself is nice, and we liked the location, the kind and helpful staff, and the well-kept, nicely decorated common areas. Breakfast was good. But the room cleaning and condition of the bed made the stay poor value for the money. The toilet was unclean and the sink was spotted. Dust and insects fell from the wooden roof now and then. We weren't sure whether the bed linen and blankets had been changed because there was rubbish on them, and the bed was very uncomfortable. We also had a cold shower on the first day, and there was a lot of noise from the pub outside.

We stayed for two nights recently after booking directly at the last minute, and the owner was very accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean, with good air conditioning and a nice balcony. It's right in central Ella but away from the noise and traffic. We also paid to have laundry done, which was a godsend and a top-class service. Excellent value for money. Definitely recommend!

The breakfast was hearty and really good, and everything was close by. We spent two nights here and were well taken care of. From the balcony we watched monkeys and squirrels moving along the wires. They did our laundry for a fair price, and when the TV stopped working, they replaced it.

The owners and staff were so friendly, and there was plenty of seating in the shared areas. It’s a great spot just off the busy part of town. Breakfast was freshly made and seemed to keep coming. The rooms are on the small side, but ours had a fan, mosquito net, mini fridge, and kettle.

We had a short but excellent stay. The place is quiet at the edge of Ella, a little tucked away but still an easy walk to everything. Our room had a comfortable bed and a balcony, and breakfast offered several tasty choices.
