The rooms were average, not the cleanest or nicest we've had, and the bed was hard. Still, the rest was fine for the price. The hosts were really kind: they made dinner for us when we arrived late, set up a safari at a fair price, and had breakfast ready when we got back. They even waited with us for the bus. Both dinners were good, and the location is a decent distance from the park entrance.

Terrible experience. It seemed they only cared about money. Don't stay past noon on checkout day, or they charge for a whole extra day. There were huge insects in the rooms, and I wouldn't book a Udawalawa safari through this guest house because I think you'll be cheated and charged for nothing. They advertise free WiFi, but secretly switch it off. The gap between the room door and the grill is so wide that people can see inside. Bring your own soap if you stay at Domain Elephant Bungalow, since they keep using the same bar for guests until it's gone.

The food was among the best we had on our whole trip. It's a lovely family guest house, and they offer an inexpensive tour to the national park.
