There’s plenty of space here to relax, and the rooms are nice. We ate well, too. They can arrange a safari if you’d like to go.

The staff were nice, and the nature around the hotel is lovely. For the price, it was more or less alright, but it didn’t feel like a five-star stay to me. The room was clean, though nobody came to clean it during our stay. The service overall wasn’t great, and the food was disappointing too. Breakfast and dinner arrived wrapped in plastic and didn’t seem very fresh.

The safari they arranged was fantastic, and the room was spacious and clean. Still, I wouldn’t stay here for more than a night. We ate at the restaurant across the road because the buffet was expensive. The bedroom air conditioning struggled, one wall looked mouldy, and the wall lantern could only be dimmed, not switched off. Some basic things were missing.

It’s a lovely spot among the trees, and we saw monkeys and lizards around the property. It works well as a base for trips to Udawalawe National Park. The staff were helpful and the service was great, but the room and resort felt damp and weren’t especially clean.
