Eva Lanka Hotel

The hosts helped me through a difficult situation involving the Middle East conflict by letting me stay extra days, which took some of the stress away. I’m very grateful for that. This is an amazing place, with a huge palm garden and little shales where you hardly see the other guests. There are different beaches just downstairs, for swimming, snorkeling, or playing in the waves. Highly recommended as one of the best places in Sri Lanka 😇

What I loved most about Eva Lanka was how peaceful it stayed, even when the hotel was full of families. There was no noise or disturbance, just tranquility, apart from the lovely peacocks calling. The beach is fantastic and we often had it to ourselves; the pools are lovely too. We had an upstairs room with lots of space and a beautiful, expansive terrace, where we could look out at the sea and listen to the many birds around. The family running the place and the whole team made us feel at home, as if we were part of their family. I can’t wait to return. Do stop by the little shop inside the hotel. Francesca works with local seamstresses and artisans to make thoughtful items that support the community. Everything is produced locally, and the pieces make authentic, meaningful souvenirs rather than the usual tourist trinkets made elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it, and the kids loved it too. The staff were lovely, and the buffet breakfast was good. The rooms are a little older, but clean, with comfortable beds. There are two pools and direct access to a private, peaceful beach.

The garden and park are stunning and kept immaculate. Peacocks wander freely, and monkeys sometimes come by too, which feels really special. The Ayurveda center is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and the Ayurvedic dishes are delicious. Even the Italian pizza is authentic. Eva Lanka is surrounded by nature and makes for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The rooms are beautiful, very clean, and carefully looked after, so you feel comfortable and calm right away. The staff are kind and professional, and the owners are special people who make the place even more welcoming. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace, beauty, and a memorable stay.
