Little Tamarind

The view from the steep drive up to Little Tamarind is magnificent, across the jungle and ocean. Our four nights there could easily have been longer. The garden is beautifully kept and full of birds, and sitting on our dual aspect balcony in the sea breeze felt like nature’s air conditioning. If you love nature like we do, you’ll enjoy the “outside in” design. The house manager greeted us warmly when we arrived and each time we returned to the room. Anouro took such good care of us, whether we wanted drinks on the terrace, laundry, or a local Tuk Tuk arranged with Mr Roshan. The room was very clean, with super comfy beds and a powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Our only criticism is that the blinds could use some repair because it was so breezy. We loved our first-night dinner there, especially the prawn curry cooked with Sri Lankan love. There are lots of good places to eat nearby, and on the other nights we tried Break Point, Wife’s Kitchen married to Mr Roshan!, and Lobster Pot. A few minutes away at Longevity, don’t miss the yoga classes. Coming back from morning class and lingering over breakfast at Little Tamarind set us up perfectly for the day. The massage there was so relaxing too. There’s lots to do in the area. We didn’t have time for the SUP excursion, but Zuref, we’ll join you next time!

The hotel sits in a cute village between two beautiful beaches, and there’s a great peek nearby for surfing. Our sea-view room was super clean, with the ocean breeze coming right inside. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. Couldn’t recommend a stay more. Must come!

We booked Little Tamarind at the last minute and had a wonderful stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our room was gorgeous, spacious, and beautifully presented, with incredible views and a lovely place to unwind. Breakfast was excellent every morning. We’d happily come back and couldn’t recommend it more.

This felt like an absolute ripoff, with fake reviews. The room was dirty, old, and broken, and there was no AC, so it was very hot and humid. Poor value at a very high price. You can get better accommodation for less than 50%. The back of the room is open, so insects can get in. We left right after arriving, but the owner charged us for one night for some bs.
