The man who looked after us was lovely, from reception through to departure. He arranged safe luggage storage until around 10 pm, towels so we could shower and change in the downstairs washroom before our flight, and a driver for 11.15 pm to the international airport. He also gave us suggestions for our last full day in unawatuna, and we had a nice conversation. The property itself is stunning, with spacious, beautiful rooms, fun outdoor bathrooms, warm water, and a great pool among lush courtyard and patio greenery. We were surprised not to have many mosquitos. Breakfast fruit, coffee, and tea were yummy, though the food plate wasn’t my favorite on this trip and didn’t look very enticing. It was all amazing. Thank you, team Aurora! Highly recommend.

Breakfast was good, but the portions were really small and they served less from one day to the next, so we left hungry each time. Still, we really enjoyed this beautiful hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the lobby had good wifi. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with a lovely balcony for relaxing after the beach or in the morning, plus an outdoor shower that was a highlight. The pool area surrounded by trees gives it a jungle oasis feel. The beach, supermarket, restaurants, and shops are all within walking distance. Definitely recommend it.

Aurora is beautiful, and the staff couldn’t be nicer. Being off the main road makes it peaceful and quiet at the end of the day. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was great, and we could spot monkeys and lizards in the nearby trees. Would highly recommend.

We especially enjoyed seeing monkeys from our balcony, such a fun and memorable moment. At Aurora Unawatuna the atmosphere was peaceful, with lovely attention to detail. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was tasty and freshly made each morning. We’d gladly return and highly recommend it.

We felt good throughout the whole stay and would definitely come back. The manager and team are doing a phenomenal job, and I can’t think of a thing to complain about. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom, and breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly. The resort is about 50m-100m from the main road, so there was no noise, but it’s a short walk to the road and the beach, which is 3 min away. The tourist area with lots of restaurants is 4-5 min by tuktuk or 15-20 min on foot. Perfect location.
