Dineth Villa

We left after just one night, even though we'd booked for two weeks. The owner hadn't mentioned that the room was in a semi-basement, and it was damp and quite dark. There were no closets, along with quite a few other small drawbacks. Since we only get a two-week vacation once a year, staying in a damp basement was unpleasant. That detail should be included in the listing. When we said we wanted to leave and asked for a refund, we had a huge argument. The owner didn't want to return the money. Eventually he agreed, but insisted that we cancel the Booking.com reservation first. We couldn't do that because the cancel button was gone and cancellation was only possible through chat. Support said they'd respond within 24 hours, but the owner still wouldn't refund us, and we argued for over an hour. In the end, the owner could cancel the reservation himself, which took just a minute. He did, and we left. I personally can't recommend this place. I've stayed here a few times, and this was the worst place I've ever been.
