The central location was handy, and the staff were lovely. This was the nicest room we stayed in during our month in SL, with lots of space, good furnishings, a bright and clean feel, and a comfortable bed. There was seating inside and outside, and the bathroom was great too. Very good value.

I stayed in a triple room on the second floor. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. They brought bottles of cold water every day and cleaned the room every two days. My only issue was the AC blowing straight onto the bed.

We got the top floor room, I think it was 501, with sea views and a bath on the balcony. It was spacious, with an ensuite bathroom stocked with soap and shampoo, plus a fridge and tea making facilities. On arrival, we were given water, fresh fruit and snacks. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Unawatuna can be noisy late into the evening, but this place was reasonably quiet. I’d suggest asking for this room if you visit, though I can’t speak for the others.

Easy to walk to the beach, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. The hotel and room were clean and well equipped, and the staff made us feel welcome. They provide beach towels too. It could get a bit noisy, but the music usually stopped by 10 PM and the neighbors weren’t very loud. Good value for the money.

I finished my holiday with three nights at Hotel Bay watch in July 2025 and had a great time. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly with five-star service. It’s in a good spot near the beach and restaurants. I’ll definitely come back!
