Heaven By O

I’d never had an experience like this in 15 years of travelling around the world. We asked Booking.com to cancel without a fee, but the manager insisted there would be one. When we asked him to look at the room himself, he said it had been cleaned that morning and wasn’t dirty. He wasn’t friendly, didn’t seem to care, and told us to leave and find another hotel if we didn’t like it. After we contacted Booking.com, he became even ruder and made us leave immediately. We found somewhere else to stay, and Haven By O lost almost $1,000 on our booking. It was sad to see, because this hotel had been wonderful when we visited some years ago. Maybe the owner changed, or maybe things changed because of COVID. I have no idea. This time, before paying, we asked to see the room. The toilet area was dirty, the flush barely worked, and there was dust on all the surfaces. The pretty big armchair was dirty too, and there were cracks in the walls inside and outside the room.

The location is lovely, and the beach is an easy walk away. We were happy with everything, especially the breakfast, which we really enjoyed. The owners and staff are friendly, and the rooms are in excellent shape with A/C. The bathroom and toilet were very clean too. I’d highly recommend staying here, and I’ll definitely come back.

The place was all white and very clean when I visited, about a year before writing this. There was parking at the back for a couple of vehicles, and the beds were comfortable. The landlord and his wife were very friendly, and they offered a wide breakfast menu. It’s quite close to the beach, and all in all it was a great stay for the money.

The breakfast was great, and I’d come back. The rooms are clean and white, with A/C, clean bedding, high ceilings, and plenty of space. The owners have very professional jobs and seem keen to please. It’s a new building, so there are a few snags, including a smell from the toilet or drainage, but it didn’t bother me.
