The courtyard is set above the road, so you don't hear the traffic, and the beach is exactly two minutes away. The location is really convenient. The room was nice and had everything we needed, breakfast was simple but tasty, and the staff were kind and responsive. Great hotel, and I'd happily return. I recommend it!

Takeaway from Happy Night Holiday was a frustrating experience. When we ate in, the food was acceptable, but the portions in our takeaway order were shockingly small, barely a quarter of what we'd been served at the restaurant. We called to ask about the difference and were scolded by rude staff, who then hung up. The chips, boiled vegetables, kottu, and fried rice all fell short of what we expected. The food and service were both disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Our dine-in meal at Happy Night Holiday was acceptable, but the takeaway was a letdown. The portions were about a quarter the size of what we'd received while eating there. When we called to ask why, the staff responded rudely and unprofessionally, which only made things more frustrating. The chips, boiled vegetables, kottu, and fried rice all disappointed us in both quality and quantity. We hope the restaurant improves its portions and customer service.

The sea is only two minutes away, and there are restaurants, a fruit stall and a liquor shop nearby. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels, sheets and toiletries. It had hot water, a hygienic shower, air conditioning, a fan and a fridge. Breakfasts were the most luxurious I had in all of Unawatuna, and the food was delicious. The owner was very kind and the staff attentive and friendly. I’m so pleased with this place and the lovely holiday. Would I come back? Of course, definitely.
