The front balcony has a great view, and across the road there are plenty of places to eat, drink, and lie in the sun at the beach. The host is very nice, though you hardly ever see them. Inside it was okay despite some noise outside from the main road. The rooms are nice, but there’s nowhere to put things for two people. A great place for the price.

Ocean Hill is a new hotel in Hikaduwa, beside one of Sri Lanka’s best-known, pristine beaches. You can arrive from either Katunayaka or Mathala airport, then travel along the scenic coast by car or take a leisurely train ride with the beach breeze on the way. The rooms look out over the calm beach and offer a comfortable place to stay. The welcoming staff can arrange visits to the world-famous turtle farm and glass-bottom boat trips over the coral reef. Airport transfers are available from both airports. It sounds like a lovely holiday spot for honeymoon couples and company outings alike.
