The place is beautiful and well maintained, close to Jungle Beach, but the stay was horrible because of the person presented as security. He acted as if he owned the place, was rude and aggressive, constantly policed us, made false accusations and sometimes yelled for no reason. He even blamed us for opening the gate at night, though we clearly saw it was one of his children. Rules were suddenly made up that nobody had told us about beforehand. His behavior felt completely unprofessional and disrespectful. If the owner sees this, please remove him from staff because he is damaging the business. Never again. Highly NOT recommended!!!

It’s a quiet place with an okay breakfast, but don’t expect dinner there. We found it quicker and tastier to go down the hill. The walk from the main road takes a few minutes and the climb is tough with a backpack. The “private” secret beach is very nice. I preferred the first beach near the hostel, while the second secret beach was better for swimming. If the waves aren’t too big, it’s a good snorkeling spot. There are free bicycles for getting to the beach or into town, just ask.

Good value for money, cheap, and the service was great. Breakfast was big enough, and it’s a decent spot for backpacking. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, though. At about $16 a night without aircon, better cleanliness would have made the place great.

A relaxing, nice place with really friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is free too, so it’s good value for money. Love the place.
