Rest Point

The beach was about a 20-minute walk, with a supermarket only 3-4 minutes away. We rented a bike in town for the beaches, evening restaurant trips, and rides to Galle and Talpe, including the harbor and turtle point. There was a large parking area at the rest point. The owner can be reached on WhatsApp, and there are several different rooms on site. We booked seven nights and really enjoyed it. The room was clean, the bed was big and comfortable, and the ceiling fan kept it cool enough. The family hosting us were lovely, and the man spoke good English. Breakfast on the balcony in the morning was especially nice, with the garden, trees and quiet around us. We saw lots of monkeys, squirrels and birds. We ordered breakfast from the owners every day. My favorite was the Sri Lankan omelette, and the fresh mango juice was great too. Homemade desserts came with breakfast, so we were well fed for a very good price. The area was quiet. We'd been using earplugs and sleep masks all over Sri Lanka, so sleeping well here was a relief. Thanks for a lovely stay, and God bless you 🙏❤️

We really didn't want to leave after our week here. The room was clean, with a big comfortable bed and a fan, and the area felt peaceful. Sitting on the balcony among the trees was quiet and relaxing. The family who run the place were so kind and looked after us well. They were easy to contact on WhatsApp. Huge thanks to them 🙏

The family are so lovely and help out wherever they can. The rooms are clean, and with the fan we slept like babies even in the heat. Such a great place to stay.

I wasn't happy with the stay. Out of nowhere, they tried to change the terms and what I was expected to pay. I found another place with a kitchen, washing machine, hot water and air conditioning in just four minutes. It was at the neighboring property and cost less. They didn't have any of those things.
