We spent about a week here at the end of December 2025. It’s a good budget guesthouse, with shops and restaurants nearby and the beach close by. The owner was warm and always willing to help. Breakfast was a good English-style one, and the price was reasonable.

Silva Rest Unawatuna is very close to Unawatuna Beach, and the rates are reasonable for a spot near the beach and local attractions. Our room was tidy, clean, comfortable, and clearly well looked after. The staff were friendly and ready to help, which made us feel at home. We had a relaxing stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Once inside, it was quiet, even though the hotel is right by the bars, restaurants, and cafes. The pool sits among jungle and cliffs, with wildlife all around. We loved the outdoor showers, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff were lovely.
