The bungalow had everything we needed, including a large living and dining area, a covered outdoor terrace, tea and coffee, a kettle, mugs, essential utensils, and some toiletries. It had been recently renovated and was clean and well equipped. This is a self-service stay, with breakfast and tea or coffee included, plus a resident chef who was happy to make our chosen meals each day. The supervisor and assistant were gracious and made sure the chef had the ingredients and condiments we wanted. We had a relaxed holiday with close friends a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic time. The place is modest, as we knew before booking, and we wanted an authentic, uncrowded escape. The large compound has four bungalows, two managed by Ceylon Bungalows, sharing a common pool. It was just as shown on the website. The eight of us, four couples, stayed in Frangipani, a four-bedroom, en-suite, air-conditioned bungalow. There's also a tennis court for resident guests. The property is right on a quiet beach, with a brilliant sunset view on a clear day. The pool is large, with plenty of loungers facing the beach. Opening the window to see the clear water all day was wonderful. The sea isn't ideal for swimming, but the beach is broad, and being able to walk without vendors bothering us was a plus. Stray dogs, though innocent, can be a nuisance to guests and the clean surroundings. It was a peaceful, close-to-nature retreat with a great view. The staff welcomed us warmly, adding a special touch. We'd absolutely stay again.
