Suriya Resort

The pool was a lovely spot to unwind, and the buffet offered plenty of tasty choices. We had a great stay overall. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were consistently kind and helpful.

The beach was the one real drawback. Rough currents were common, so swimming was rarely an option, and locals and lifeguards warned us about them. It was a little calmer in the morning, but swim at your own risk. At Suriya, we spent 3 days and 2 nights and had a great visit otherwise. The food selection was broad and worked for various dietary needs, the staff were cheerful and very friendly, and the pool was clean and enjoyable. Our room was just right. We'd happily return.

This is a late review, but Suriya Resort Kammala is worth mentioning. The food was fresh, tasty, well presented, and came in a wide range of choices. The pool was spacious, clean, and inviting, while the peaceful, scenic setting made it easy to relax on our own. Evenings were especially lovely, with striking sunsets and lots of photo spots around the property. The architecture and landscaping were thoughtfully done, blending in natural features nicely. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Service was very good overall, though there's still a little room to improve. It's a cozy, calm place to clear your head and enjoy natural beauty and comfort. 4.5 / 5 stars.

The food could use some improvement, but the service was second to none. Every staff member we met was polite, obliging, and smiling. I also tried the spa and really enjoyed it. We spent a few nights there, relaxing for hours by the pool and heading to the beach to catch the beautiful sunset. The sea view from our room was breathtaking. Such a lovely break from the busy capital where we were staying.
