We only stayed three nights during our trip, but the hosts and their hospitality made it especially memorable. Mrs. and Mr. Dias welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away, and the whole team was attentive and friendly throughout. The property is beautifully kept, with thoughtful little touches and a calm atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. We loved the fresh king coconuts, too. We’d happily return and can wholeheartedly recommend the place.

Muru was the highlight of our trip. He went out of his way to make our stay exceptional, and nothing ever seemed like a problem. He was always smiling when we saw him, and his kindness made such a difference. The hotel is right by the beach, and the lovely grounds even had some beautiful animals. We had a gorgeous stay, and it wouldn’t have been the same without him. He’s a real gentleman and an asset to the hotel.

Mr. Dias even helped us with swimming lessons and served us a tasty Sri Lankan dinner that we won't forget. The Dias family and staff were so friendly, helpful, and cooperative, and we got more than we expected. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had AC. Don't hesitate to book here, it's the right place in Weligama for sure.

The location worked perfectly for surfing. The hotel is directly across from Weligama Beach, and carrying our boards across the road and walking to the main lineup took just 2-4 minutes. We also enjoyed the wildlife around the grounds, from peacocks wandering in to monkeys in the trees. The garden is lush and professionally cared for, and we always felt safe and relaxed. Breakfast was served in several courses and stayed available until 1:00 p.m., so there was no rush. I’d recommend trying the Sri Lankan options, though the porridge with fresh fruit was great too. The pool was carefully maintained and cleaned daily after 6:30 p.m. You can even do sport swimming there, and there’s a barbecue area as well. The staff really made this place for us. Everyone, from the chef and caretaker to the people at the gate, was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They answered our questions and made us feel at home, and we loved chatting and laughing with them. The owners were also a lovely, approachable couple who were usually around. Muru deserves a special mention for his warm, open personality and kindness. He made our stay memorable. I should add that no one asked me to write this review, which is common in Weligama. I’d recommend this hotel to my closest friends for its food, familiar atmosphere, and surf-friendly location.
