We meant to stay one night and we’re now on night four. The river view from our balcony is magical, and we love sitting out there to read or do yoga. It’s peaceful here, even though town and the beach are only a five-minute walk away. The room is large and comfortable, and the owners are so kind that we feel at home. The food is the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far, and the prices are great. A good fit for couples, solo travellers and small families. We highly recommend it!

The room was comfortable and clean, and the whole homestay had a relaxed, friendly feel. What made my stay especially lovely was the host: warm and thoughtful, and always making sure I had what I needed. He seemed to truly enjoy welcoming travellers. The beach and town center are just a couple of minutes away on foot, but the place itself stays very quiet. We had a nice breakfast and clean rooms, and the family were lovely, easygoing people. Thanks so much for your hospitality. You’re a lovely family, and I wish you all the best! 🐶🥰

We’d love to come back someday. This was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka, largely because the host family took such good care of us that we sometimes felt like part of their family. The rooms were spotless, and there’s a charming floating deck above the river where we enjoyed breakfast or dinner with a beautiful view. We even spotted a huge crocodile from the deck. The lady who lives there made lovely handcrafted souvenirs for us to take home to our friends. We’d highly recommend this place, 10/10.

I spent six nights here and it was such an easy stay. The place is unusually peaceful for Weligama, and the family running it are really sweet and look after you well. There’s AC and a fan in the rooms, plus really good Wi-Fi. It ticks all the boxes, and I’d thoroughly recommend it.
