Mzion Hotel Weligama

Elements deserves a mention for its excellent coffee, the best in weligama. The rooftop was another highlight, with lovely sea views and a nice place to relax in the evening. There’s also a well-kept pool. Mzion Hotel Weligama is a short walk from the beach, which is great for relaxing or beginner surfing. Our modern, clean, spacious room had 2 balconies, and the architecture and interior design were really well thought out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Great value for a comfortable, stylish stay in Weligama.

We spent two nights here and felt it was well worth the money. The welcome was friendly, with several coffee options offered as a drink. We were upgraded to a suite with an amazing view and a luxurious tub overlooking the beach. The kids had a few games, and when we asked, the staff were happy to get them a pack of cards. There’s a small pool, free parking, and good wifi. It’s just a minute from the beach and eateries. The owner said a poshtel would be available soon. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was very good and came in very large portions, and the staff were kind and helpful. Still, the hotel is way overpriced. The rooms are spacious and fine, but the quality doesn’t match the price. Sometimes the AC and electricity were switched off for electrical work while guests were there using the wifi. The top floor, which is meant to be a rooftop for enjoying the view, was completely under construction.

The primary contact, whose name I forgot to ask, made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and all the staff were very helpful and treated us well. We had a spacious room with a beach view, and breakfast was really nice. I highly recommend this hotel in Weligama.
