There are a few restaurants close by, and you can rent (soft) boards at the beach. The waves suit beginners, and the city center is a 15-minute walk or a short tuk tuk ride for +/- 300Rp. The staff were friendly and helpful, and easy to reach on WhatsApp. I was disappointed by room No.3, probably the worst room in the hotel. It had just one window, looking onto the hallway and its wall, so it stayed dark even with the sun out and we had to switch on the light. At EUR60.- a night without breakfast, I expected more. The room floor wasn't very clean, though the bathroom was.

Some of the rooms are a little dark, but ours had a lovely oceanview. Breakfast was good, and the location is close to the ocean. We had a great stay at Ocean Air, with a warm welcome and helpful service all week.

Ocean Air is right by the beach, and breakfast was great every morning. It's a family-run business, and they're such lovely people. We had an incredible time, one of our best stays in Sri Lanka. Would highly recommend!

The staff were the best I've ever met, so welcoming and attentive. This place has such a special vibe and feeling, I honestly don't understand how somewhere can be so amazing. We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely come back!

We stayed in a deluxe double room with an ocean view and a huge balcony. It's a really special room, and the rooftop where breakfast is served has a wonderful view too. We really liked the place.
