Rashmi made my stay in Weligama feel comfortable, and I especially loved the home-cooked dinners. I had the vegetarian curry and rice twice! On arrival, there was water and a few snacks in the minibar, and I could ask for more any time. The Bay House is within walking distance of a laundry, cafes, and restaurants. My room had a wardrobe, kettle, fridge, desk, AC, wifi, and enough space to do yoga. It had everything I needed.

The rooms were very clean, so hygiene wasn’t a concern, and the wifi was more than good enough for a few work calls. Rashmi was always there to help when I needed something. You can also request an amazing breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay at the Bay House.

You’re only a stone’s throw from the beach, and it’s a great place to stay for the money. The rooms and bathrooms are lovely and clean, with a fridge, AC, and bar fridge. I highly recommend it.

A quiet spot to unwind after a full day at the beach, which is just a walk along a trail away. It’s a simple little hotel with two rooms above the family home. The room was small, with AC and an en-suite bathroom, but the basic setup was all I needed.
