We stayed for four lovely months in this comfortable house. It's spacious and well insulated, so we didn't have insects inside, and our belongings never felt damp. Both rooms have A/C. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming.

We felt safe in the quiet neighborhood, and the nearby roads are lovely for walks. The garden and porch at Villa Serenity were beautiful places to relax. From there we watched lots of birds, including a peacock, as well as monkeys. There's parking in the garden for a car, scooters or a tuk-tuk. A small grocery store right beside the house, run by lovely people, was a big help when we first arrived tired from jet lag and didn't know the area. Other shops and the beach are walkable too. Kasun and his father were as welcoming as the other Sri Lankan people we met. Kasun was quick to answer questions, helped us with all sorts of things, sometimes even brought us food, and found information for the PCR test we needed before going home. He also recommended a very reliable tuk-tuk driver. We cooked most meals in the kitchen, and the appliances worked well. There was a small kitchen problem during our stay, the kind that can happen in any house, and the hosts fixed it quickly and properly. The room's A/C was a welcome relief at night, and there was a fan in every room and the living room. The WiFi was fast with no issues, hot water worked perfectly, and the washing machine came in handy over our month there. We had a great month and highly recommend it.

The house had loads of space, a lovely garden and all the amenities we needed. The owner was always kind and ready to help. It's about a 10-minute walk to town, and the place is quiet and laid back. An easy five stars from us, I'd definitely recommend staying here.
