Scenery Guesthouse Stadium

The rooms are a little small, but they’re equipped with everything, and the staff were warm, very friendly and accommodating. The scenery guest house has affordable accommodation with breakfast. It could use a bit more maintenance, otherwise the quality may suffer.

I stayed one day last week during winter. The room was a good size and had air conditioning plus an electric blanket to keep the bed warm. The shower bathroom was small, though. The place is okay. Breakfast was set out on the tables ahead of time, so it went cold and there was no way to warm it up.

The staff are very friendly, but Scenery isn’t a good fit if you want quiet, calm mornings. Noise from reception and the corridor carries into the rooms. You hear people talking, especially staff, late at night and again very early in the morning. It was unbearable for me and gave me headaches. They don’t seem to consider that guests may still be asleep.

My team didn’t enjoy our stay, mainly because of the food. They called it a buffet, but there wasn’t much variety, the beef was tough, and they limited how much we could take. The chef watched us serve ourselves and reprimanded people for taking two pieces. If you arrived late, there might be no food left, and asking for more got a sour look. The yoghurt was so watery you couldn’t tell if it was yogi-sip or sour milk (Amasi).
