The restaurant staff member seemed on the ball, though his clothes and manner could be better presented. Service was fairly good. The chairs are comfortable, but some badly need cleaning or fresh covers, and visible stains can really put you off. It can also get too warm in the restaurant, though it's lovely and cool when the AC is running. I haven't stayed overnight, but the pool looked very clean, with water flowing through it, and would be great for a summer dip. The hotel sits on the Main North 1, making it a handy place to stop for a drink and something to eat. It has clearly seen better days. When I visited on a Sunday afternoon, gospel music was playing loudly, which could bother guests who dislike the volume or aren't spiritually inclined.

It's in a great location, but the hotel is old. Some inside renovations could easily bring it up to four-star standard.

The dinner was great. This would suit someone after a rural getaway, but that wasn't what I was looking for.
