I was asked by TripAdvisor to change my review, and now I understand why there seem to be more good reviews than bad ones. I’m taking out some of the harsher wording, but the problems are still there. The location is the one good point, about a 30-minute walk from the old city. Our room was 35 degrees, and the air conditioner blew dust instead of cool, clean air. The mattresses were old and so uncomfortable it felt like sleeping on a wooden plank. There were spiderwebs in the bathroom and stains on the walls and doors. We couldn’t use the amenities safely. Breakfast was very bad. The cheese and sausages seemed days old and sweaty, the pancakes were extremely greasy, and the bread and pastries were stale. I’m used to Eastern European and Baltic food, and this didn’t resemble it. At dinner, we waited an hour just to get a menu, while people in the conference room already had theirs. Then we waited another hour for drinks and food, and the meal wasn’t worth the wait. One person was running two restaurants alone. She was clearly doing her best, but was also very rude. I’ve heard the hotel is known for buying its stars and that Lithuanians wouldn’t stay there. I also saw similar complaints on other sites about an old, dirty hotel, rude staff, broken air conditioning, and lots of spiders in rooms.

The only real downside was the noise from some guests, including two staying in the room next to mine. Otherwise, the location is great, right in the town centre with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. You can walk to the train station or take a short bus ride, and the airport is about 50 minutes away by bus.

28 Mickevicius street/Kaunas/Lithuania The brunette with the big lashes and her friend with glasses at reception deserve to be fired. They were very rude, unprofessional, arrogant and careless, sitting there gossiping and calling the police on a very nice, honest lady in black. How rude is that? 2025/10 Regards, From : Kristina

The pool situation was another major disappointment. It isn’t freely available and has to be booked in advance. Guests from four rooms share it at the same time, which means inconvenience and queues. None of this was mentioned on the hotel page on Booking.com, and my child was very disappointed after looking forward to swimming. We also had no remote control in the room. There was a horrible kitchen odor throughout, and when we asked reception for a remote, we turned on the air conditioner. It was clearly malfunctioning and felt like it might explode. Parking was the original problem. Booking.com advertised free parking, but there are only a few spaces and we weren’t allowed to use them. We lost hours driving around looking for paid city parking instead of enjoying the city. The hotel should be upfront about this on Booking.com so guests can plan and not rely on parking that’s essentially unavailable. This lack of honesty ruined the experience. If parking matters to you, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. If you value your life, health and sanity, I strongly recommend finding a different hotel.

The good points were the central location and the large rooms. The curtains were much too small to darken the room, though, and the air conditioning and fridge didn’t work. The pool wasn’t available, and there are only around 10 parking spaces for the whole hotel.
