The food was genuinely tasty and lived up to the Michelin recommendation. It was my first Michelin experience, though I wasn’t keen on the sharing setup for the tasting menu. Since we were a large group, we had just three plates of cold appetizers and ended up awkwardly dividing them into equal portions ourselves. At that price, I don’t think we should have to deal with sharing the food.

The lake and castle views are amazing, and we had a wonderful time at Apvalaus. The restaurant is Michelin recommended, and the service there was very professional. They were helpful when we were choosing our dishes. There’s also a really beautiful spa at an affordable price.

It took over a week for the hotel to reply to two separate, simple email inquiries. That felt unprofessional, so we’ll spend our five days somewhere else. The hotel we’re staying at now responded in just seven minutes. I guess this hotel doesn’t need guests who would spend on a room, breakfast, spa, and food.

I paid €260 and left right away. There was no parking, spa, breakfast, or restaurant, and not even a coffee mug in the room. The property information was misleading, and customer service was rude. They wouldn’t discuss a refund, even though I felt I’d earned one. One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. Never again, and I’d tell others not to waste their money here.

The sauna was a proper place to unwind, and the rooms were clean. The staff were friendly too. Everything was great.
