Ecotel Vilnius

Breakfast was good, but I was disappointed with the rest. The room got too hot, and there was no A/C. We only got a small fan after asking at reception. The reception staff weren't friendly, except for the young boy. Insects came into the room around dusk or at night when the light was on. The security guard asked my black boyfriend if there was a bomb in his purse. We had to leave it in their safe and pay for the safe, since they wouldn't take responsibility if anything went missing from the room. I think you can find better places for the same price, or a little more, in this area or closer to the city centre.

The location is a 15-minute walk from the centre. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the windows don't open all the way, so summer could get really hot. The beds are small singles, and the mattresses aren't great. Breakfast is fairly good, though there isn't much bread variety, no croissants, and only boiled eggs, no omelettes. There's no coffee or tea setup in the room, and a cup of tea during the day costs 2 euros.

The only real downside was having to pay to park overnight inside the hotel grounds. Otherwise, it's clean and simple, with comfortable rooms and beds, a good range at breakfast, and friendly staff. A decent place for travellers to get some rest.

The staff were OK, and so was breakfast, but dinner was poor. This is a very basic hotel whose main plus is being close to the city centre. The rooms and bathrooms are small, and the toilet is awkward to use in a normal sitting position. There's free Wi-Fi and they take cards, but no safe.
