We stayed in September and could park right at the hotel, though I imagine that gets difficult in summer. The location is great for exploring the old town. Our room felt cozy, but the bathroom was cramped. We tried the omelettes at breakfast, and both smelled and tasted a little fishy. The restaurant didn’t impress us.

When it’s good, it’s absolutely worth it: the food can be excellent and the service exceptional across the board. Other visits have meant waiting around 40 minutes for a pint and getting cold food with it. You never quite know what to expect, since service and quality vary from visit to visit.

The heating in the room can be adjusted, and there’s a flat screen TV with channels in the most popular languages. The sofa showed clear wear, though the place itself was cosy. It’s about 200 m from the central cathedral. I only noticed on day two that the hotel has separate WI-FI from the restaurant, with the password on the entry card cover. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, but otherwise it was a great experience. Highly recommend.

It’s very central, within walking distance of the cathedral and the old city. The rooms are large enough, but getting to them means steep stairs. Avoid room #8 if you can, the toilet there is very inconvenient to use.

The staff are polite, and the soup is always appetizing. Lunch is inexpensive and among the best traditional meals in town, often with a vegetarian option.
