President Apartments

The hosts were friendly, helpful, and considerate, and the prices were affordable. There are lots of thoughtful extras around the place, including toothbrush and shaving kits, plus soft robes and slippers. The apartments are in the center of the Old Town on a quiet street, away from crowds, with restaurants for every taste nearby. Apartment Nr.3 is the smallest, but still spacious enough for two. It has a big jaccuzi, a small kitchenette, and a little patio off the room. Apartment Nr.6 feels like somewhere you'd happily live long-term. There's a huge kitchen with modern utilities, though we didn't get to cook, and a spacious living room with a big-screen TV and an enormous number of channels. The large first bedroom has an attached bathroom and a jaccuzi. Upstairs there's a small desk area and another bathroom, with a shower like the ones in the best saunas. One floor higher is the small second bedroom, with roof windows and a view of Gediminas Castle. The decor is vintage throughout, but doesn't feel cheap. The owners must have spent a fortune. It all gives the impression of Lithuanian aristocratic life in the old days.
