Breakfast was excellent value for the price, with lovely herring and decent hot dishes. They even served lasagne, something I’ve never seen at breakfast in my 47 countries and hundreds of hotels, and I’m not sure that idea will catch on. I paid about €80 including breakfast. My room, Rousseau, was lovely, with books on the shelves, wooden rafters, and pictures of literary and philosophical heroes. I slept comfortably, though the pillows were very slim. The bathroom had perfect water pressure and temperature, towels, and amenities. The hotel is in a former grand house owned by a wealthy Polish family, and the second-floor breakfast rooms are beautiful. Check-in was efficient and the staff welcoming. Hospitality in Lithuania tends not to be effusive, so don’t expect that style. The location is ideal for Vilnius sights. Turn left for St Anne's Church and Uzepis; right for the main shopping street, Vilnius Cathedral, and the palace. A very good budget choice, with a team that puts effort into what they do.

The location is perfect, and the on-site parking is a real bonus. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and offered lots of choice. The staff were kind, attentive, helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I can’t thank them enough for making our recent 4 night stay run so smoothly. This is my second stay here, and we’re already looking forward to coming back very soon. A real gem.

The hotel is beautiful and spacious, and it has plenty of charm. The location is amazing, and as a woman I felt very safe there. Staff were helpful, and breakfast was delicious with everything kept refilled. The room also came with slippers, a shoe cleaning kit, a sewing kit, and bathroom necessities.

The vintage rooms are really well maintained, and the whole place has such a peaceful feel. I travel for work and usually end up in sterile, minimal hotels, but Shakespeare was so warm and beautiful that I actually wanted to spend more time in my room. It’s in a great spot in Vilnius old town, with friendly staff and a great breakfast. One of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed in.

We found it wonderfully quiet and cozy, even though it’s so close to Pilies street. There’s a lift to the upper floors and convenient parking too. Everything worked really well for me, and we liked the hotel a lot.
