The large bathroom and the fantastic evening view of the illuminated water tower were definite highlights. The interior looks great, but with four beds the place is hard to use when it’s full, and the circular bench isn’t comfortable for long. It feels more like a youth hostel than somewhere to relax, and it’s not especially cozy. Parking is in the center’s lot 300 meters away, not on the cultural center grounds. There’s at least a three-hour “bread roll button” there, and parking is free from 6 PM to 8 AM. You’ll need to get breakfast at the supermarket 600 meters away. The view is great, though.

The Floater is a really special cottage, and we enjoyed staying there. There wasn’t much to do in the area, unfortunately.

The standout is the view of the water tower, and architecturally the Floater is worth seeing. It’s a fantastic one-night experience, though our stay for €230 including breakfast didn’t feel worth the hefty price. The large room has a visually attractive round table with seating, but it’s impractical. There’s a bunk bed without a safety rail, plus a single bed that can turn into two singles using a drawer system. The bathroom is very large, but the shower water never got hot. Cleanliness was just okay, with some corners missed. On arrival, the dish sponge seemed overdue for replacement and both it and the towel for drying ourselves were soaking wet. Breakfast cost €20 per person, was nothing special, and felt very overpriced. I had to request it before it was delivered at 9:15 a.m.; I was told by phone it usually arrives at 9:30 a.m. Since checkout is at 11:00 a.m., that timing matters. We hadn’t been told any of this in advance. I wouldn’t recommend it.

A lovely little house for a night, with a beautiful view of the water and the water tower. It would’ve helped to have someone there to welcome us, since we weren’t sure where to park, but we still had a nice experience overall.

We were charmed by this amazing place. The only real problem was that there was no hot water, so showering was very difficult. We also couldn’t reach anyone online over the weekend. Apart from that, the accommodation was fantastic.
