Hôtel Au Vieux Moulin

We’ve been coming here for years, and it’s always a lovely treat, whether for a romantic date or a family celebration. Au Vieux Moulin Restaurant and Hotel is a wonderful place to make memories. The staff are friendly and respectful, and the dishes bring seasonal ingredients to the forefront. Don’t miss dessert, they’re wonderful! One of the nicer places to eat near Müllerthal, highly recommended.

The hikes around Mullerthal were great, and the food in the area was excellent. Hotel Au Vieux Moulin is in a nice spot, close to Echternach and Berdorf, with excellent restaurant choices nearby. Service was very friendly and genuine, a nice change from Amsterdam. The receptionist was especially kind and attentive, and tried to meet our wishes. After a full day hiking, the comfortable bed and spa bath in our room were much appreciated. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant, but loved the couple of Dame Blanches they made for us to enjoy on the terrace. Based on that, we’d recommend trying the restaurant if your budget allows. One small improvement would be adding fresh berries, fruit, or vegetables to the breakfast buffet. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return if we come to Luxembourg.

The patio has a lovely pond with a waterfall, so try to eat out there if you get the chance. I’ve visited this restaurant quite a few times and haven’t been disappointed. The dishes are unique and delicious, with Michelin star quality food, and the staff are friendly. Their foie gras is especially well done. Definitely worth a visit!

A lovely, peaceful location and a real hidden gem. Everything was perfect, from the appetizers through to the coffee sweets. The Lobster menu especially had food of Star michelin quality, and the quality/price was good too.
