ibis Styles Luxembourg Centre Gare

For three nights of work in the city, I found the room thoughtfully laid out, with every bit of space put to good use. It’s minimalist but still comfortable. The hotel was very clean, and surprisingly quiet for the Central Station area. They have lemon water from the restaurant available any time, which I liked. Breakfast was okay, and the coffee was good. Fresh vegetables would be a welcome addition, as would eggs cooked to different levels.

Good location and breakfast, and the hotel feels clean and modern. The room was very small, with a tiny window and a cramped bathroom. Fine for one person staying a few nights.

The parking was well organized, and the front desk kindly showed me where to park. The stay worked out well for the activities we had in town, but the service was still poor. Openly accusing a guest of stealing says a lot about the hotel's idea of hospitality. The rooms are small, the toilet layout is odd, and the hallway smelled. At night, there were some “unique” people hanging around the entrance. The photos look nice, but I’d strongly recommend avoiding Ibis Styles Gare.

It’s a handy spot, about five minutes from Luxembourg Gare and a 15-minute walk to the old town. Public transport is free if you’d rather take it. The room was small but cozy, enough for a short visit. The location also has a downside: it’s near the bar street. During my stay, a fight went on right outside my window for about half an hour before police arrived. As a solo traveler, that wasn’t a good experience. Still, it’s a good place to stay overall.
