I came to Luxembourg hoping to find a great place for traditional Luxembourgish food, and we discovered a charming spot beside the river in Vianden. The meal felt like more than just dinner. It connected me with Luxembourgish culture and its centuries of history. The dish wasn’t only filling, it felt like it had a story to tell.

I only visited the restaurant, so I can’t say anything about the hotel. The meal at Hotel Victor Hugo Restaurant was very good, and the service was excellent. Sitting outside beside the river made it feel even more special.

The bathroom was quite small, but the room met expectations, with everything we needed and more. The beds were really comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our belongings. The hotel itself was pretty and clean, and the staff were incredibly nice. It’s centrally located in Vianden, so everything is easy to reach on foot. Several bus stops are just a few minutes away, with buses to other cities running multiple times an hour.

We had a nice time overall. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the setting was pleasant near the river. The price was reasonable too. The one downside was the rather long wait for the food.
