The owners/managers wouldn’t help after we alerted them straight away, and we were stuck with a non-refundable booking. We found no sauna at all, even though it was advertised and was the main reason we chose the unit. There was no warning about the lack of parking or how hard it was to access, and the bedding was poor. For one of the most expensive units in Cesis, it didn’t live up to any of its promises. A terrible experience from the start. We won’t be back.

The bathroom fan struggles with the humidity, though that’s a small issue. The place was otherwise very nice, with a lovely living room and bedroom, plus a well-equipped kitchen. It’s centrally located, and there’s free parking if a space is available.

After a long day cycling, I really needed the sauna to unwind, and it was just what I was looking for. The apartment is nicely renovated and sits in a historic building right on the main street. Very good, I recommend it.
