The location was a real highlight. The hotel sits in a green oasis by the Daugava River, with lovely walks along the bank, especially in the morning or at sunset. The Old Town is a recommended 15-20 minute walk across a charming bridge. Common areas are well kept, and the rooftop restaurant has breathtaking views. They even provide blankets in the evening. Breakfast was excellent, especially for a Nordic hotel. I didn't use the gym, though other guests said it costs a little extra and isn't included in the room rate. There's also a large six-lane bowling area for groups, which can host up to 50 players. Rental isn't expensive and includes what you need. My room was spacious and cozy, but the two sofas, which I appreciated, showed wear, and a few spots needed attention. It didn't take away from the comfort of my stay. A great hotel for its setting and shared spaces, though the room could use some maintenance. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The facilities had everything I needed, including a kettle, tea and coffee, and a refrigerator in the room. Service was friendly and efficient, and breakfast met the standard of a four-star hotel. The furnishings have a classic 90s luxury look, maybe even older. Some guests might find that charming, though a refresh could make the stay even better. Everything else was great.

I cannot recommend this hotel after what happened during my stay. On Sunday, November 30, 2025, at about 5:00 AM, I was trying to park in the garage, which I had already paid for four days, when a hotel staff member physically assaulted me. My jacket was torn, and I felt unsafe, so I called the police. I went to reception to explain and repeatedly asked them to contact the hotel manager because the situation was urgent. They refused and told me to wait for the police. I also asked for a refund because of the distressing experience. The receptionist said I had to fill out a form and that processing it would take two weeks. The incident raises serious concerns for me about staff conduct, security, and the support offered by the hotel. I am taking legal action and hope management treats this as a wake-up call to improve training, security, and customer care. And this happened to a human rights defender.

Good location, and the price is very good for what you get. Quality is OK for the money, but the inside needs refreshing: furniture is dirty, the walls are scratched, and humidity has left the bathroom in a bad state. The reception staff need better communication training. I had a bad experience.

I was part of a 37-person tourist group from India and stayed here with my family. The buffet dinner offered a wide choice for all kinds of guests, and I had a pleasant stay. The property has a luxurious look, with a spacious lobby and corridors and a good overall ambience. Our room was roomy, with a neat carpet and walls, plenty of luggage storage, and a comfortable bed. It also had a sofa set, kettle, iron and ironing board, and fridge. The bathroom was neat, with sparkling clean tiles and fittings. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to families wanting a comfortable stay in Riga, Latvia.
