The staff were very polite and friendly. The rooms and breakfast were all right. There’s a sauna too, though I didn’t try it.

The restaurant next door was one of the best I’ve been to, with gourmet food that didn’t come at a gourmet price. We also had a beautiful view from the patio in every direction, and our room was spacious and really clean. The staff spoke many languages and were so friendly and accommodating. Thanks for hosting our group at the last minute. This place is incredible, and we hope to come back!

The rooms feel cozy, with enough space and a balcony, and the hotel provides towels and slippers if you need them. The spa has a nice, roomy pool for a bit of swimming, including a current generator, plus a decent-sized bubble bath and two saunas, one steam and one dry. It wasn’t crowded, which I liked. For the price, it’s amazing, and I’d recommend it if you’re not after somewhere ultra high-end.

We enjoyed the saunas on a cold winter evening, and they were warm enough to relax in. The pool has a lovely view of the Daugava and fairly warm water, though it was quite dark inside because there wasn’t much lighting. The men’s changing room had rusty furniture, and the pool ceiling and walls were rusty too. The rating would be higher if the price were lower. It’s time for maintenance.
