The beautiful natural surroundings and Baltic Sea view are the only things that redeem Kempings Sīļi. I visited three times over the past decade, and the latest trip was purely for nostalgia, not because I expected to be satisfied. Nothing has changed in ten years: no upgrades or improvements, just the same tired setup. At €120 per night, the view alone is nowhere near enough to justify the price. The kids' playground still has the same worn-out rope and outdated equipment I saw on my first visit a decade ago. The interiors are just as stuck in time, without charm or comfort. The worst part was having no internet. You couldn't even send an email at the cafe, so working from this place was impossible. We visited with family and our pet, and I think it was the worst place I've ever stayed. We were put in a completely different house from the one in the photos, and the price didn't match the quality at all. I think we should have paid at least half as much. The grills, made from washing machines, were so deep that I don't know how much coal you'd need to cook anything. There were fewer dishes than guests, no cutting board or knife, and not even any toilet paper. For that price, they could at least have prepared the bedding so we didn't have to bring it ourselves. We don't recommend this place at all.

The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, with magnificent views. Our car could stay beside the house, so we didn’t have to haul our things far. The little houses felt cosy, and the bedding was clean. There were toilets and showers with hot water. Outside, each seating area had a grill, a table, and two benches, tucked away from neighbours’ view. The place is quiet and green, and the staff were kind and helpful. Our child accidentally broke the toilet lid, and they didn’t charge us.

We were only about a seven-minute walk from the seaside. The bungalows were nice, and the restaurant was amazing, with tasty food and a good choice of wines. Service was great.

The beach was close by, and it was so quiet and peaceful here. I really enjoyed my stay.
